Privacy Policy

EzNote is an MVP for validating AI summarizer and note-generation tools. This policy explains the current public preview behavior and what should be expanded before a full production launch.

Information we collect

We may collect email addresses submitted to the waitlist, contact form messages, and basic tool-interest events such as the selected tool and source type. Tool inputs are sent to the generation endpoint to produce a preview.

AI processing

When an OpenAI API key is configured, source references or pasted text may be sent to OpenAI to generate summaries, study notes, flashcards, and quiz previews. Uploaded file parsing is marked as a future TODO.

Daily limits

EzNote uses a lightweight cookie and temporary server memory to limit free previews to 3 per day during the MVP.

Future updates

Before adding accounts, storage, payments, or exports, this policy should be updated with retention, deletion, security, vendor, and user-rights details.
